Ryanair, Europe’s largest low cost airline announced its third destination from FlyBalaton airport in Sármellék to Dusseldorf-Weeze. Flights will operate twice a week, Wednesdays and Sundays, between 30th March and 22nd October.
Dusseldorf-Weeze is the third destination of Ryanair to/from FlyBalaton airport. The low cost carrier operates a service to London-Stansted 3 times a week, and will re-launch its Frankfurt-Hahn route from the middle of April.
The new flight departing from the Dusseldorf-Weeze airport will connect the Western parts of Germany and the Dutch and Belgian markets with the Balaton region. Professionals in the tourism industry expect a significant increase in the number of guest nights in the first tourist season following the introduction of the flight.
The Hungarian National Tourist Office will promote the new route abroad in the frame of the Aviation Marketing Fund. Also, in the frame of the fund, service providers in the Balaton region should further improve their cooperation to make the new route successful.
